Ceylon cinnamon, from the Latin Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Verum, has been used in South Asia for millennia for its hot and spicy aromas, and for its antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial properties.

Since the Middle Ages, it has established itself in Europe as an essential spice, especially during Christmas celebrations.

Ceylon cinnamon different from Cassia, from the Latin Cinnamomum Cassia, which is grown in China, and whose aromas are much less subtle and which has less therapeutic properties.

Our real organic Ceylon cinnamon comes from Sri Lanka, and is obtained by drying the bark of the cinnamon tree.
